Apparently the vampire community is making an effort to establish holidays of a sort.
October 1 was Donor Appreciation Day. Today was Vampyre (not my spelling) Appreciation and Awareness day.
There's nothing inherently wrong with this idea. In fact it might have positive repercussions for the community. I just have a nagging feeling that taking a mainstream concept like an awareness day and applying it to the world of the vampire is another step into the bland.
